Blaise Hope founded Origin Hope in 2019 after watching how the changes to workflow and training he implemented at his previous employer transformed regional content habits.
Combining those lessons with his content technology plans, Hope set out to transform journalism - and found that meant transforming information.
Transforming information starts with people.
Origin Hope reimagined how teams work to build a system that developed talent into teams that worked across borders. By focusing on talent that is unused for creative and tech purposes, Origin Hope brought in certification schemes that are now qualifications in their own right, used by prospective employers to assess candidates. The company trains more people than it needs to benefit local economies and its entire policy is designed to benefit every stakeholder around both our people and our customers; this includes governments, other companies, and local industries.
Designing its technology around people and in its innovative workflow gives Origin Hope maximal efficiency in an evolving world. This safeguards against obsolescence and allows for constantly improving data and control over its deployment.
Most of all, it brings individual control and actions into a world of automation, to capture the benefits of both.
Origin Story
Our founder wanted Origin Hope to be the perfect partner for the procurement and delivery of information - the partner he wished he could have had during his career in journalism and content.
Blaise Hope worked to almost every conceivable content requirement in a career that began in an era of newsroom crisis and collapse. In the US, UK, and Asia, Hope went from unpaid intern to freelance copy editor and writer, rising to be a chief editor, deputy newsroom director, and a lead news anchor interviewing world leaders as host of the World Economic Forum. After WEF East Asia in 2015, he wrote the first plan for "Hope Media".
Hope's subsequent role rebuilding content operations for a media conglomerate gave him a bird’s-eye view of a landscape where outsourcing support should have easy and available, but wasn’t. Hope saw a company offering that support was possible - but nobody was making it.
The frustrations of his early career and the fears of an industry in perma-crisis would ultimately birth the idea for a solution that could work for anybody, enabling a new future for information, journalism, and content. After decades of gloom, he saw there could be a ray of light that led to a bright future: that became Origin Hope.
